GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
After purchasing an item on - on -/-/15, I clicked on the Go To - '' link. Instead of then being allowed to choose my payment option as had always been the case previously - including twice the very day before - my - - was charged WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. Upon realizing what had just happened I tried for appx - hour to void the transaction and pay by my usual method, to no avail. I then tried to contact the seller but he was away and by the time I received a response his assistant had already shipped item. - and PayPal customer service, when finally reached, were, not surprisingly, no help whatsoever. Not wanting to alienate the seller after the item had already shipped, I sent a second payment through PayPal on my regular credit card, and then disputed the original unauthorized charge. Charge was temporarily removed pending the investigation, whereupon I was asked to submit documents, which I did, faxing conclusive proof that the seller had been paid as I had originally intended, but the unauthorized charge was reinstated anyway, despite the seller now having been paid -. Countless attempts to deal with the company directly have gone absolutely nowhere.
