GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
I have a - Rewards Card that was initially issued by - Bank. I think that in the middle of last month, - 2015, the card was taken over by Synchrony Bank. - Bank sent me a statement at the beginning of - telling me to send payment of at least $25.00 to - by - -. On - -, my bank sent - an online payment of $700.00 which is how I 've paid that bill for years. I went to - 's website the next week to see if the payment had been made, but the - Card had been removed. On - -, I received an email from Synchrony Bank telling me that I could access my account on their website. I did and found that the $700.00 payment had not been credited. I called Synchrony the next day, - -, and they said they had no record of the $700.00 payment. They also said I had to make a payment by - - or I 'd be charged a late fee. I called -, which recieved the payment from my bank and they said they had no record of it. I also called my bank, - - - -, which sent me the wire receipts showing the funds being wired to -. Yesterday, - -, Synchrony Bank charged me a late fee. My credit union is investigating what happened to the payment and calling me with updates, but neither it, -, or Synchrony know where my $700.00 went.
