In - - I noticed a derogatory mark on my credit report made by Credit Collection Services in -, MA. After investigating the company and the charge, I found out an old - account that was paid off in - was sent to Credit Collection Services. When I called CCS to inquire, the rep informed me that - sent the debt to them to collect in - - ; however, I paid this account off in -. I originally made arrangements with - ( who was initially assigned to the account by - - to pay off the account in - payments. The - payment was withdrawn from my account by - on -/-/- in the amount of $120.00. The - payment did not come out on the agreed date so I called - to find out when the final payment would be withdrawn and applied to the account. I was told that - was going out of business and to contact - directly to finish making the payments. The - payment was withdrawn by - on -/-/- in the amount of $130.00. I contacted - in - - explaining this point. I was told they needed confirmation from -. I reached out to - - in - - and followed up after in - - after I did not get a response with 30 days and no change on my credit report after 60 days. I provided - with my bank statements indicating the payments were withdrawn prior to their Accounting Department sending my information to CCS collection agency. - Accounting Department will only accept correspondence via email or fax. I have tried - mediums of communication to no avail. My point of contact was - -. Her email address is --. The fax number is -. I can provide copies indicating the dates of contact as well as the dates payments were withdrawn.
