Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine Florida

Basically in -/-/- I moved into an apartment with my sister. By -/-/- I moved out of the city, signing myself out of the lease. Unfortunately, my sister broke lease a few months later and was offered to move out and owe money instead of having an eviction on her credit. She agreed. The problem I have is that I was gone before -/-/-, and yet on my - report it says that as of -/-/- I share responsibility in owing $3000.00. That 's ludicrous. My biggest problem, unfortunately, is that I did n't retain proof of signing off because, stupid me, I did n't believe I 'd need it. What can I do to get rid of this score leech on my report? Now that I 've lived on my own for 2 years successfully, I 'd like my credit score to not be in the red. On top of everything else, I received absolutely NO communication about this. I just happened to check my - - account and it just magically appeared there.
