I submitted this to the CFPB about 6 months ago. Case No. -. As a result the debt collection company, Meade & Associates, responded that the original alleged creditor had requested that the account be closed '' because it was sent in error. Now Meade & Associates are sending me threatening letters again demanding payment for this same account even though I sent Meade copies of their correspondence to me closing the account.
