I had a invoice that was covered by Medicaid that due to a clerical error was late getting paid, due to no fault of mine. It went to a collection agency. I called as soon as I was notified and gave them the information they needed to remove this debit from their ledger and was assured the matter was closed. They still reported me to reporting agencies and my credit score lost - points while I was in the process of getting a home loan which very negatively impacted my ability to get a loan. They have made no effort to call me to resolve the issue after I have attempted to make contact with them multiple times.
