Speedy Cash Holdings Consumer loan department,
Title loan Charged fees or interest I didn't expect California
Facing eviction, she searched for a quick solution to her problem. She visited a -, CA Speedy Cash location and took out a car title loan for $2600.00. Thinking she 'd be able to pay back the loan within a few months, she went through with the loan. However, soon she realized that she 'd have to pay the interest upfront, and she saw her $2600.00 debt balloon to $9000.00. The initial plan to repay quickly was soon impossible. She simply did n't have that type of money. She was given a pay off period of three years, in which she 'd have to make monthly payments of $250.00. She began making payments, but within two months, she realized she could n't afford to do so. She was having trouble paying rent again, and she was behind on her bills. She was forced to move in with her parents, in order to make the payments on her car title loan and not risk losing her car. At this point she has been able to pay off - months, paying $1000.00 to the lender and none of it going toward the principal. Since a large portion of her income goes toward paying the lender back, she 's had numerous financial problems. She is unable to save money because after paying the lender and for other expenses, there is very little to nothing left. She 's had issues paying her bills on time and has had to work out extensions on her cell phone bill to avoid having it be cut off. What she hoped would be an easy fix to her financial problems has turned into an ordeal she never expected and - that she hopes she 'll be able to get out off soon.
