After receiving a few phone calls at work ( he left a message ) and on my cell phone from - - of the law office of - - in - Ca I decided to call him back. He told me I had a debt and owed - from a - loan I had taken out a few years ago. He then gave me - options 1. pay - today and make small payments on the rest. 2. make larger monthly payments to pay it off. 3. pay smaller payments but would need to pay - today for a down payment to start the repayment process. I explained to him I would need more time to come up with -. He told me that was not an option because I have already taken a long time to repay them back. He also told me it would be embarrassing if he had to serve me legal papers at my place of work since I am refusing to settle this today. I told him I was not refusing to settle, I just needed more time. He began to get rude and began to ask why cant someone like my husband or anyone
so you have a new baby with no husband ''. He said that sarcastically. He also said he knows how much money I made and said he knows I can make the payments. I again explained to him I was not able to pay just yet. I asked if I could call him back. He confirmed my place of employment as if he was going to send someone to come by. Before hanging up I asked to speak to the attorney he had mentioned earlier he said I could speak to him at court. I was trying to see if we would be able to settle something in the near future, but he did not seem to want that. after a few minutes went by I called him back because I felt very threatened and nervous about him/someone coming to my place of employment. When I called him back I told him to not call or go to my work ever again. He replied by saying they will do whatever they want to resolve this. I then asked for their address. He replied by saying that I do not need their address anymore because they have already made a decision about what to do with my case. I said I want your address any way. He gave me - - in - Ca -. I then asked for their fax. - - then hung up on me. Also in the middle of the conversation I asked him how much was the loan I took out, he replied - or something like that, but I now owe over - from interest. I feel threatened and nervous about job loss. I also think he refused to settle anything with me because he did not want to give me more time.
