I have make pay multiple payments during a month. Lowes is purposely post dating payments weeks at a time. The will post date any payment made after the initial bill is paid with their online payment center weeks at a time or even the next billing cycle without the knowledge of the customer. The customer may see payments being delayed weeks and even to the next billing cycle. A Lowe 's Customer service representative -, - at - -, states it is Lowe 's credit paying practice to post-date any subsequent payment made in a billing cycle to the next billing cycle automatically, and it is solely up to the customer to change the date to immediately. They believe it is legal '' to purposely post-date a payment a customer makes to the next billing cycle, NOT defaulting to the current date. If a customer happens to miss that they post-dated the payment, they are unconcerned with the matter. This poses problems with customers seeing bills they have paid being delayed
tough luck '' we set up the post dating payment intentionally that way, and it is up to you to figure out that you have change the post dated payment to todays date. This only occurs with customer who make multiple payments within a billing cycle. This action deliberate on their part can cause late payment fees or insufficient funds fees being placed on a consumer because of their poor billing and payment options. Can you please address these poor practices with them and educate them on proper billing procedures that do not mislead consumers into post-dating payments unintentionally, as Lowe 's Credit will have you do.
