Due to very poor customer service, we decided to refinance our - Chevy Camaro to close the account with Wells Fargo. I spoke with Wells Fargo to obtain a 10 day payoff and then call - with the payoff amount. - stated there has been issues with payoffs from Wells Fargo and they then called 1/2 hour after I did and was told - more than I was. After - obtained the " correct '' amount for a 10 day payoff, we completed the paperwork, we obtained a loan - more than the 10 day payoff so we could use the additional funds for a purchase we wanted to make and the payment was sent and received by Wells Fargo the very next day. The account was viewed online and it showed my balance owed as -and the payment of - that was received. They then added on - different interest charges over and above the 10 day payoff that was actually paid off in 2 days. Instead of the - I purposely overpaid, I received back -!!! I called them and questioned the additional interest they added and they said they had the right to do so. When I said I was going to file a complaint I was told that was fine and ended the call. I was also 1/2 a car payment ahead due to adding extra to each payment, no interest was due as I had just paid my loan for the month.
