I contacted - - at Paramount capital on -/-/- in an attempted to settle a charged off debt of $3700.00. Collector stated that only the amount of $3000.00 was acceptable at the time. On -/-/- i received a letter from - - stating that $1400.00 was an acceptable amount to consider this debt settled in full. I believe the collector has clearly violated Section 807 ( 10 ) of the FDCPA which, " prohibits the use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer. ''
