I received a phone call from a private number and answered. It was a phone call of a man that states he is a - private mailing company and he needs to deliver me papers to sign from a debt collection agency on taking me to court. I was in shock, I was like who are you, would not give me a name, or even a company. He said he had to deliver it at my work between - and - the next day. I said I would not be at work at that time. He said then I would need to call this number to not have these papers served to me or not go to court ( - ) - that this was theft by deception. Later on in the day, I have found out that my mother has received this threatening voice mail over the phone about papers being delivered to my work. I called the number in a panic, and this very rude man by the name of - - answers the phone. Explains he is the general manager of Bayside Capital and is attempting to collect a debt, that if I do not make arrangements


let me pay the rest off by -. Then I explained about my health and then said how about a hundred each pay for a total of - which is more then what he was asking for. But I agreed. I explained I do not feel comfortable giving out any information out to you today unless I see something in writing, so come serve me papers. He said he can email them me right now with an agreement. I said ok email me. The letter looks legit, and it is a matter that I do not want to ignore, with a current heart problem that is not getting taken care of I explained to him the cost of paying this is high. I asked what if I can not make a payment he said then I would default again and he would take legal action. Meanwhile I overheard a man in the background saying that I 'm a - party mailing service that need to serve you papers. '' By that point this man has my debit card number. I am not sure if this is a scam. However this is no way to treat a person. I called back and I said that is very unprofessional to call other numbers then my own, he said he is only doing his job.
